The only thing that should be touched are the switch handles

 

The left row of switches are in ON when they are flipped left.

 

The right switch is ON when it is flipped right.

 

Sometimes a switch looks like it's on, but if gently wiggled, will loosely move left/right, indicating that it has tripped.
