Our internet is fine for light tasks, but is a tortoise when it comes to streaming movies, downloading large files, and multiple users.

The modem and D-Link router are located to the left of the washer/dryer in the laundry room of the Cactus Flower cabin. Slide the laundry room door open gently. The wifi signal is relayed to the Roadrunner cabin via a wireless repeater, located under the eave of the Roadrunner cabin by the front door.

NO WIFI SIGNAL

**this is not the same as no internet**

If your device does not detect “Green Acres Ranch”, try these steps:

1. Make sure that your device’s wifi is ON.

2. Check that the power strip (left of the dryer) is on, and that the D-Link wifi router is on.

WIFI SIGNAL BUT NO INTERNET

(You may see an exclamation point in your wifi signal symbol):

1. Mojave Wifi may have a temporary outage that corrects itself within minutes. If not...

2. Unplug the POE ethernet wire from the WHITE "POE" power adapter/modem for 30 seconds, then re-plug.

3. Turn your device’s wifi off, then back on again.

4. Try the internet again after a minute.

5. Failing all above, Crossroads Cafe has free wifi in case of an emergency internet need.

EXTRA SUPER TROUBLESHOOTING PROTOCAL

  1. Turn your phone/tablet/computer wifi off. 

  2. Locate the small WHITE rectangular "Power Over Ethernet" (POE) power adapter (left of dryer). 

  3. Check that the green light is lit and not blinking. If it is blinking or goes off, Mojave Wifi may have to be called for service.

  4. Unplug the POE ethernet wire from the WHITE "POE" power adapter/modem.

  5. Turn off the power strip (left of washer/dryer) that the router and modem are plugged into.

  6. Wait 30 seconds.

  7. Turn the power strip on.

  8. Plug the POE ethernet wire back in to the WHITE "POE" power adapter/modem.

  9. Wait one minute for the wifi router to reboot and for the MojaveWiFi.com antenna to re-establish its connection.

  10. Turn your phone/tablet/computer back on

  11. Connection to wifi Green Acres Ranch (password is fluffyrabbit).

  12. Hopefully you have the internet again!
