SWAMP COOLER aka EVAPORATIVE COOLER
(disabled early November to mid-March)
The cabin is best cooled by a Swamp Cooler, which draws air through water-soaked filters
Windows must be partially open for this to work!
The switch is located on the wall leading to the living area.
1. Turn the switch to “PUMP” for 3 minutes. This allows the filters to soak up water.
2. Turn switch to either “LOW COOL” or “HIGH COOL” for fan/air speed you desire.
3. Open windows (apx 3 sq ft on LOW / 6 sq ft on HIGH), closest to where you'll be,
allowing cooled air to flow past you.
4. Please turn off the cooler while you're out, to help conserve energy.
HUMID WEATHER
Swamp Coolers become less affective as humidity rises, losing all cooling ability at about 80% humidity. Close all windows and use the "MINI SPLIT" air conditioner instead.
Normal fans only help when they are blowing on/at you.
