SWAMP COOLER WINTER SHUTOFF

 

 The swamp cooler is disabled early November to mid-March to prevent frozen burst pipes.

Though it can still blow air, it will not cool because the water supply if off.

How to shut down the water supply for winter:

1. The swamp cooler pipe is outside, near the kitchen window.

 

2. Turn the WHITE HANDLE clockwise 90 degrees to shut off the water.

Leave it this way.

 

3. Turn the SILVER HANDLE clounter-clockwise a full turn to allow the water in the pipe to drain.

Leave it this way.

4. If you still want to run the swamp cooler FAN, please make sure that FAN ONLY is selected.
